Luna Biscuit is spoiled from us, she is well pampered and hard headed sometimes. Since she's adopted from the shelter and came from a hoarder we have no idea what she's been through so it needs a lot of patience to train and understand her weird habits. My MIL gave me a 101 Dog Tricks book and trying to follow them how to train our girl.

She is housebroken already so messing the house is not a problem at all unless she's eating. She loves to crunch her food everywhere. She picks them from her bowl and walk to the living room or dining room and crunch them. When you ask her to sit what she's gonna do is lay down and roll over but I need to battle that habit. She doesn't like treats before so we do not know how to train her until we found out something hold the leash before take her out and ask her to sit before going out. It works, I ask her to sit 3 times before finally taking her out and praise her when she does well.

What's With The Bird Poop?

Whenever I take my dog out I keep wondering why does she loves to smell the bird poop. At first it was funny but she keeps doing it and it annoys me. On the sidewalk tree where birds stay at night as expected there are poops on the ground and when we pass there Luna has to stop and smells them. The funny thing is when you did not pull her back she will rub her neck on the poop and roll over.

She acts so weird though she is not an "askal" dog and it's annoying when she just had her bathe. I want her to smells fresh as always as taking her to the grooming is not cheap. But I've learned my lesson not to walk on that sidewalk unless she's on a hurry because she won't bother to stop and goes directly to the forest park for her bathroom.

Get Closer To Your Pet

How do we get closer to our pet? When hubby is on trip we are doing some activities for Luna to get in touch with him too. When he calls me I also let him talk to our little gurl and let her hear her daddy's voice. She looks like she understands what hubby is telling her to do and I love watching her when her eyes are blinking and well focused on the phone. hahahha =)

Isn't she's lovely? Sometimes when hubby and I are doing voice chat when she hears him talking her tail is wagging to death and trying to find where is he. The funny thing is she sometimes smells my screen when I maximize my hubby's cam so she can see him. But oh well, Luna is not always at her best when her stubbornness is up you don't want to say a word.

Looking for A Mate

I wonder if there is someone who has a lion pet, this lion looks like very calm but of course they are wild animals that we need to stay away from. But I think no matter how wild they are there is still gentleness on them. This lion looks so gentle and looking for his mate to come.

This is the lion from the Washington DC Zoo. We've been here twice hoping to see those zebras to no avail. Hope next time when we go back to the zoo the zebras are out.

Calm Down Dog Scared from Thunderstorms

Recently, Luna is acting weird and it bothers us a lot. We are so worried what to do with her she started to be anti social after the consecutive days of thunderstorms. When we sit in the couch and watch TV she goes down and stay in the closet panting. This happens every afternoon this past couple days. We are worried that she might not feeling well but everything is perfect and we took her to the dog park today so she can mingle with other dogs. I searched for some remedies now and hope it will help others who are having this kind of problem too.

Help Your Dog Cope with Thunder and Fireworks:

A dog who is afraid of loud noises can create anxiety for the whole family. Here are some tips for soothing your storm or fireworks troubled dog.

Short Term Quick Fixes:

• -Play! Depending on your dog's level of anxiety (pacing vs. curled up trembling) simply distracting him may be the best course of action. Play, sing songs, exercise the dog as much as you can to try and wear it out. Help your dog associate thunder with a fabulous playtime!

• -Crate your dog or move their bedding into a enclosed space like a closet. A dog who feels "safe" will be less anxious, and a "den" is the instinctual place for a dog to feel safe. It may help to cover your dog's crate with a blanket or sheet to create a den feeling.

• -Create as much white noise as you can. Fans, TV's, radios, etc. Try to drown out the majority of the sound.

• -Find a T-shirt that fits the dogs chest tightly and put it on them. No one knows why this helps, but many owners swear this makes a difference.

• -Over the counter sedatives (Like rescue remedy) or veterinary prescriptions like Ace or Valium are a good short term treatment- although not avaliable in an emergency. If your dog is severely anxious, try to keep a stash on hand.

• - Short term and long term, one of the most important things for an owner to do is not to coddle the dog. Cooing and petting are both"rewarding" actions for a dog- they are used as rewards in training- so what are you training your dog to do when you respond to his anxiety with petting and cooing?

Rather than Babying your scared dog, try:

• singing a silly song
• sqeaking toys
• taking the time to run the dog through his or her tricks.
• yawning repeatedly (really). make big, loud, exaggerated yawns- your dog will see your relaxation and respond.

Luna Biscuit Ran 4 Laps

Yesterday my hubby and our little gurl Luna Biscuit went for a run. When the weather is beautiful my hubby is running 4 laps which is about 2 miles around our neighborhood. I suggested to him before that our little gurl could be a great running buddy and he tried her yesterday.

While they were out I was thinking they might be on war again if Luna did not do well like when she loves sniffing and do not do her job, and hubby and her have a "DI BATI MOMENT". So to speak they had a great run time.

The story, on the first 2 laps (1 mile) Luna was running ahead of my hubby, on the 3rd lap she run beside him and finally on the last lap she is running slow behind him. Poor Luna Biscuit, I bet her body sore now as she run 2 miles for the first time. She was panting a lot when they got home and my hubby was so glad that she did well even though on the last lap they end up just walking or else our little booter might pass out!

Wondering What Luna's Doing

Okay here we go guys, we are missing our little gurl so bad and can't wait to see her. So early morning I am on the net while my booboo is still dreaming on the bed. This is what I got when I checked out if I can see my gurl on the cam.

It says they are having breakfast and outside time. Hhahahah!! These doggies for sure are cuties! I wonder though if our little gurl would eat breakfast as he is not a morning person ooppsss este dog pala. So I will check out later if we can see her on the cam enjoying her dog time.

The Corolla Cat

This cat is very popular at the trip advisor reviews for Hampton Inn Hotel here in Outer Banks. He is a wild black cat and the hotel guests and employees are feeding him so he is more like their pet.

We also saw this cat during our last visit and this time I was able to pat him and rub his neck. He is very kind but doesn't want to be carried so when I when I was trying to do so he's trying to escape. I don't want to get scratch by him, I'd rather let him go.

Fit Me IN Please

While am busy chasing the fishes on my computer my little gurl feels like she wants closer to her mom again. She wants to lay down on the couch while I am busy with my computer at least I can pat her every now and then.

She fit in herself on the small room in the couch and inserted her head under my lap board. This is how she shows her affection to us. My hard headed little gurl knows how to get closer to my heart.

Luna Was Attacked By Bulldog!

My poor baby girl was attacked by a black ugly bulldog this morning. My girl is friendly but do not want to play with dogs most of the time. I took her for a walk and our neighbor was out with her dog as well. When the black ugly dog saw us walking she laid down and waiting for us to come over while they are in the side walk.

After a simple hi and hellos our dogs had a little sniffing to each other but my little girl is nosy and sutil so she smelled the butt of the black dog and strong enough can't pull her back. She is not is not satisfied though and keeps smelling her so the black dog growl at her it shocked me because my little luna biscuit was ready to attack the dog. She is around her size, maybe the black dog was mad at her because she's thinking my dog is a tomboy dog.

Welcome Home My Booboo

I am so excited today my booboo is coming back from his Las Vegas trip! I want to pick him up at the airport but I need to ready all our stuff for tomorrow. Besides, after lunch there is no bus going to the airport from our place so I'd rather stay home and clean and check our list for tomorrow.

We need to confirm Luna's reservation to the dog hotel too, the place is not an ordinary dog kennel as you may think. Even though we are out of town we are able to see our little girl on cam. We have an option either we want her to stay in the kennel at night or let her sleep with other dogs. The place has 4 rooms, gym, lounge, bedroom and their sleeping room.

First Cloned Puppies in the USA

Dog is a man's bestfriend and we also consider them as a family, like mine I talk to my girl like she can understand me. I know she can because you can tell the way she look at you and wagging her tail I stumble into this video about cloned puppies it says first cloned puppies but I also seen the video of the puppies cloned in Korea and working in the airport.

Well anyway, here is the video of the clones where they spent 10 years to make it perfect as according to them the dog are harder to clone as they more complex unlike cats and sheep.

Andy The Handsome Dog

Okay folks am introducing "Andy the Handsome Dog" to all of you. Ooopppsss Lexie, Gracey's don't get jealous Andy is not Luna's mate. He is Aunt Aunt AD's neighbor dog, he is so handsome with his new hair cut, but hey he is the stinkiest dog I've ever encountered here. Hhahahha!!!

He is so funny because he is like the Lyttles pet too, he is so comfortable in their house and the moment he step in the door he doesn't care to anyone else but go directly to Cinnamon's (the cat) food bowl and eat them so poor Cinni will have no more food left when she comes back. I took this picture while we locked him outside the door and look at him he has the wondering looks why he is not allowed to go inside but in the end Aunt AD let him in.

Poor Shaky Luna Biscuit

It's rainy Friday today since last night you can hear the thundering and lightning which makes my poor little girl so scared and hide herself to the darkest corner. I pity her so I sleep next to her crate and pat her back trying to comfort her and make her feel that she is safe inside the house. Every time she hears the thunder followed by the lightning her radars are pointed up and panting a lot and shaking so much.

I closed all the blinds but when lightning flashes it bugs her a lot. It took me more than an hour to get some sleep and got up on the living room as our bedroom is too cold. There we were both able to get some more sleep but when I woke up she started hiding right by our garage door where she can't see lightning. Ohh poor little girl she's all wet to this morning on her morning walk.

Luna The Mentor

Here is another story about our Luna Biscuit before she doesn't like to lay down on the couch but recently she likes it and they nap on the couch together (hubby and luna). So when we are blogging or working with our computer she wants to jump up in the couch and seek attention but hey there is no room for her or else our computers will hit each other.

This is how she looks like when she wants attention or just wanna hangout with her dad on the couch and watching her dad doing the blog. I do not know what's on her mind, I find it cute so I grab my cam and click!

Luna and Granny Bonding

When Mom and Aunt Suzie arrived yesterday they picked me up from home and they wanted to get in and see Luna before we headed to the Lyttles. I am glad that they love my little gurl right away and of course my little girl was in her best behavior. She got all the pat and love she wanted as always.

Today her breakfast walking buddy is her granny, they had a great walk at the park and she such so sweet to mom. Finally they met each other in person and you can say the bonding right away. We brushed her while we are having coffee and newspaper in the patio. Ohh our lovely little girl really knows how to please everyone.

The New United Way Model

Here we go! The new United Way Atlanta launched a new model no other than my little gurl Luna Biscuit. Mom got me this pretty pink hat and I love it! I think it will look good to our little gurl and I am absolutely right! Look how awesome Luna Biscuit looks like in my pinky hat.

Guinea Pigs As Pet

This is an ad from work, we can post ads to the online bulletin and this one that caught my attention. I think these would be great pets and Luna will chase them I bet like squirrels or can be her toys.

I have a pair of guinea pigs that are in need of a new home!
Unfortunately my mother is allergic to them and we cannot keep them
anymore. They are both males, one is short-haired and all dark brown
with a lighter patch of brown on his nose and the other is a long-haired
with light brown fur with a white patch on his behind and leg. They come
with a cage, igloo (for sleeping/hiding), hay wheel, two ceramic food
dishes, chew sticks and the rest of the food/hay. They are still a
little skiddish but fun to watch! They're very social and love company.

Back Off!

Back Off! This is how Luna looks like when she waited late before we go to bed. Looks like she's ready to attack you the moment you mess with her. hihihi =) Blanket is her best friend at night maybe she needs pillow and we are planning to get her a baby pillow to make her more comfortable during her bed time. And my music at night is her loud snore. And when the alarm goes off she's ready to greet you a warm good morning.

Mom is Coming!

Yeheyy!!!!! Mom is coming to visit us! Finally she will meet her granddog soon! We can't wait to see her again, we miss her so much! Am so happy yesterday when she called me about her weekend trip and the bridal shower for Caitlin.

Luna needs to be in her best manner and want her to play with her granny. I will show mom how she sit in the dining chair after breakfast. Hoping that by that time the weather is warmer so we can have our swimming bonding time. See you soon Mom!
